I would like to introduce you to gorgeous vintage ice cream van, Betty, from Vintage Scoops, and her fantastic owner, Hayley! As a lover of all things vintage, retro and pretty, and a massive ice cream fan I instantly fell in love with this fab idea.

Tell me more about Betty…
Betty is a beautiful 1973 Bedford cf ice cream van that we bought and renovated. She now drips in Cath Kidston oilcloth and drips in bunting!! Betty provides customers with gorgeous locally made ice cream from Beechdean Farm and old fashioned sweets and drinks…..
What was the last event that you worked on that you were really excited about?
I am truly excited about every single event I attend, whether it is somebodies wedding day, a birthday party, garden party, a local fete or festival….. I just love to make people smile !! Betty has that effect on everyone she meets…. 🙂
What do you love most about what you do?
I really love making people smile…. it really is a fab job… People love remenissing when they see Betty, telling me about their favourite childhood sweeties or lollies. We get invited to the most glorious events and venues, I attended the Emma Bridgewater street party at Waddesdon Manor this weekend which was a real treat for us ! I also love going to children’s birthday parties… their little faces when they get aboard Betty and help me seve their friends are a real treat!
I have looked at your menu and the Pimms Sorbet sounds amazing! What’s your favourite treat from the menu?
ooooh my favourite flavour ice cream is Banana and pecan cheesecake!!! xx My favourite sweeties are Rhubarb and custard and you cannot beat a bottle of cold Ginger beer!! xx
