Love Audrey’s new blog home is nearly ready…

Over the last month I’ve been a busy little bee creating a lovely new home for gorgeous lifestyle blog Love Audrey, moving the site away from blogger to a shiny new wordpress site with a bright and pretty new look!

The new site launches on 3rd September, but for now, here is a little taster of things to come…

Make sure you become a fan of the new Love Audrey facebook page to find out the new address!

Catching up… goodbye July! {MAMMOTH POST ALERT!}

So who stole July? One minute it was June and suddenly it’s August! I feel cheated!
I’ve hardly blogged at all during the last month as it’s been so crazy busy, so here’s a little massive catch up to find out what I’ve been up to…

BRIDE ELECTRIC
I created a logo and blog design for the lovely Celia at Bride Electric, and she launched the new site yesterday!

Click here to find out more about Celia’s innovative new business and to check out the new blog design (I am particularly proud of the Matrix style background!) You can find out more about my blog design service here.

TEMPERLEY LAUNCH AT MISS BUSH BRIDAL

I was so excited when Emma from Miss Bush Bridal asked me to create an illustrated invitation for the launch of the new Temperley Bridal collection in Surrey this month. The event is also in association with leading boutique cake maker Peggy Poschen, so Emma came up with the idea to bring a slice of London to Surrey, represented by the iconic shop fronts of the three brands.

Here’s what I came up with…

There has been a great response to the design, and I’m really looking forward to attending the event next week!

POCKETFUL OF DREAMS
I became a sponsor of  Pocketful of Dreams, a contemporary & stylish UK Lifestyle blog.

They introduced me with a lovely interview, you can read my answers here!

EVE LILY & TICKLED PINK
I launched two websites! Tickled Pink came first (a fun and cute design to represent their lovely stationery) and Eve Lily followed shortly after, with an elegant and stylish design which fits perfectly with their stunning wedding and event styling work.

Find out more about my web design service here.

NEW ‘ABOUT’ PAGE
The Golden Apple ‘About’ page has been updated with some fab new pics, information about the name and some more info about my lovely assistant, Charlotte.

Thank you to the lovely Matt Glover Photography for the fabulous new pics!

ECO FRIENDLY WEDDING STATIONERY

I’ve been creating a new range of Eco Friendly wedding invitations and stationery which will be launching in the next fews weeks, and will be printed on 100% recycled brown card. Here’s a sneak peek…

FUN STUFF!
It hasn’t all been work work work though, I’ve done lots of fun things this month…

- We adopted a rescue dog! His name is Buddy and he’s a whippet. He’s settling in well and Scratch absolutely loves him!
- Charity shop bargains
- Working on an illustration with my state of the art light box
- Joe’s graduation!
- Paintballing, which was SO much fun.
- Mojitos in the back garden
- Eating my lunch in a secret garden surrounded by lavender and bees, with the sound of croquet in the background.
- Walking all the way in to town to buy a nectarine from the market because none of the ones at my local supermarket were ripe yet. They were sweet and juicy and so worth the journey.

I have lots more to tell you and share with you, but this post is getting a little long now!
It’s been great to catch up… what have you been up to?

Days Off!

Hello hello! Long time no speak (again – I know, I’m terrible at keeping up with this blogging malarkey!)

I hope you’re all enjoying the beautiful sunshine! I know I am, although I wish I could be doing this again…

..rather than sitting indoors at my stuffy desk! Image taken from my Brighton Beach shoot with Ali Lovegrove Photography & Oh My Honey last year. This is one of my favourite images from the shoot as it was so much fun to take and I love the sparkly sea and beautiful blue sky.

HOORAY FOR SUMMER!

Anyway, the main reason for this post is to tell you about some days off that I have coming up! August is a ridonculously busy month for me so I’ll be in and out of the office quite a lot. I’m pretty much fully booked for work (both weddings and design work) but might be able to squeeze a couple more people in if you’re quick! (Visit Golden Apple Designs or LSC to get in touch)

The office will be closed on the following days…

  • Wednesday 1st August
  • Friday 3rd August from 1pm
  • Tuesday 7th from 1pm, Wednesday 8th, Thursday 9th & Friday 10th August
  • Friday 17th August from 1pm
  • Thursday 23rd August from 1pm

I will have my trusty smart phone with me at all times so will try to reply to emails when I can on these days!

Thank you for your patience lovely customers, and anyone who is thinking of booking in for work then make sure you do well in advance for Sept & Oct as the diary is already starting to fill up!

Have a fabulous weekend – i’m off paintballing for the first time ever tomorrow – wish me luck!

Much Love!

It’s the final countdown…

Only 21 hours until the new Wedding Reporter site goes live.

As you may have been able to tell from our facebook and twitter pages both Emma and I are extremely over excited, so please forgive us if we have been going on about this a little too much!

We’ve been working on the new website and branding since… ohhh… mid last year sometime so to be only a day away from actually launching it is incredibly exciting!

Here’s one last teaser to get you excited for the big launcheroo tomorrow…

Check back tomorrow at 9am to see the site in all it’s shiny new glory!

So You’re Getting Married wedding blog makeover – before and after

Last night I helped Phoebe from So You’re Getting Married move her blog over from blogger to wordpress, and give it an updated new look!

As Phoebe already had a domain registered for the site I also helped her with the technical side of things like domain mapping, redirecting and also importing her blog posts from the old site to the new one.

Check out the before and after pics below…

As you can see i’ve updated the banner with a fresh new look, and whilst Phoebe wanted to keep the existing font I broke it up a bit by using it with an additional font to make it more pleasing to the eye. I also created some cute social networking buttons for the side of the blog and added interest to the background with a subtle polka dot pattern.

So You’re Getting Married is a UK wedding blog dedicated to pretty things – click here to go and check it out.

Would you like your blog updating? Prices start from £60 for a customised blog set up that includes a blog header plus matching background, colour coordinated links & fonts* plus you have the option to add on as many buttons as you like down the side to link to social networking sites, pinterest, your about me page – whatever you like! Click here to visit my website and find out more!
