Marry Me Ink Spring Science Fair Shoot – the Stationery

Two weeks ago Ali Lovegrove and I set off on a road trip to Manchester to collaborate with Marry Me Ink on a fantastic bridal inspiration shoot.

Inspired by her love of The Big Bang Theory and science geekery, Rachael from Marry Me Ink wanted to create a shoot that took inspiration from the three sciences; chemistry, biology and physics.

Complete with test tubes, a real heart in a jar (which was a sucker to shove in there!) and a skeleton named Eric this shoot is fabulously quirky and it was great to be a involved!

For the stationery I wanted to create a design that had a cute and geeky feel. To give the design a technical feel I used graph paper as the background. I then created a series of illustrations featuring a conical flask, test tube and magnifying glass. I completed the look with a cute handdrawn style font.

The set included an invitation, RSVP card, information card, bride and groom name tags and a table plan.

For the table plan Rachael had the idea of using the periodic table as inspiration for the layout. It took a very long time to fill out with so many made up names but I was really pleased with the end result…

All images by Ali Lovegrove Photography – amazing as alway! 🙂

Head over to Marry Me Ink to view the images from the rest of the shoot – the dresses and accesories were stunning and the models looks amazing thanks to some incredibly talented Alice from Kitty Wink Vintage.
